The öibf was founded in 1970 on the initiative of the vocational training institute bfi with the assistance of the lobby groups for employees and of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs as well as the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research. The öibf was one of the first organisations of this nature in Europe and it is the most traditional organisation of research on vocational education and training in Austria. |
